May 2004 - 85 mile canoe expedition
Ron and Joan Hilbert, Joe and Peggy Nicholas, Norman Ohlson and
Martha Turner
We hit high water so the paddling was easy and the
mosquitoes were not out yet, so they didn't bother us. The only wildlife we saw
on the river was a deer, kagaroo mouse, bats, birds, jumping fish, and some
noisy frogs...which canceled out Joe's snoring.....We could not have had better
weather for the trip. This is a wilderness canoe trip that very few people ever
get to see... We only saw one other group on the river in five days. |
